The parallel plate micrometer permits direct readings to 0.1mm and estimated readings to 0.01mm. This makes the NA2 an ideal precise level for deformation studies or industrial measuring tasks.
Although this seems like a costly level, the absolute pinpoint precision this offers is a lot less costly than getting things wrong on the job. A quality well made bit of kit, I'd recommend to anyone working to close tolerances

You really get what you pay for with the Leica NA2 automatic level, it just feels really well made and tough, it responds to adjustment really well so you can be really precise and accurate, and the optics are very clear and easy to read.
