Smart Horizontal Mode™
Thanks to the combination of distance and tilt measurements you can determine the horizontal distance precisely and simply. If you take a measurement at an inclination of ± 45°, the Leica DISTO™ D3a BT always calculates the shortest distance. So you can measure quickly and easily, even over the top of objects and people.

Multiple functions
The Leica DISTO™ D3a BT can calculate rectangular and triangular areas, volumes, room dimensions and various types of Pythagoras functions. A time delay release and enough memory for up to 20 measurements round off the instrument's wide range of functions – a concept designed to make your work life easier.

Brilliant and clearly arranged display
The results are displayed on the large (2”), clearly arranged and high contrast display. At the touch of a button, the display makes supplementary information available about the measurements, e.g. indirect height, room dimensions, angle information or room angles.

BLUETOOTH®
With integrated BLUETOOTH® technology, measurement results can be wirelessly and accurately transferred to Pocket PCs and PCs. Thus you can easily process your data in Excel®, Word®, AutoCAD® and other programs.


Free software
The delivery package contains the transfer software “Leica DISTO™ Transfer” – easy to install and with automatic updates. The AutoCAD® plug-in additionally allows convenient planning and drawing with your AutoCAD® software.

    The bluetooth on this piece of equipment was great to transfer my data to my smartphone and all the measurements where done to an accuracy that i thought was humanly impossible. great product by leica!

    Bluetooth a good upgrade to have

    Having had a few disto's, this one with bluetooth was a particularly good upgrade, I managed to pair it up with my iphone 4 easily and it works a treat

    A really good disto and the bluetooth feature makes it great

    I was just going to go for the D3 disto, as it had all of the features I was looking for, but when I saw this D3 BT model, I opted for this instead, as it it has the same features that the D3 does but has the added convenience of the bluetooth technology.

    I have found the measurements that this leica disto takes to be very accurate and as it is a leica the disto feels very tough, which gives me confidence to use it on site.

    The D3 BT disto is also really easy to use and the display is very clear. Transferring data across to my phone or laptop using the bluetooth is a great feature, and really easy to set up. I'm glad I went for the D3 BT option.

    I didn't feel hassled into buying something I didnt want or need, they just helped me find exactly what I needed, so I will be using them again if I need more equipment.
