I've found the leica D2 disto great for taking quick measurements. Its a cheap disto, but its still got leicas high quality which I have known for years. The D2 disto is very accurate and easy to use, and I think that the fact that its cheaper makes it much simpler to use and read from, as it isnt overloaded with complicated buttons and features. It just does its job, and does it well.
I'd advise anyone to get the leica D2 disto if you want to make quick measurements on a job that isnt too messy or heavy duty.
